Emergency Response in Action: Community-Led, Community-Powered
In response to increasing crackdowns and shrinking access to health services for people who use drugs and key populations in Cambodia, KHANA launched an urgent outreach initiative under the Rapid Response Fund provided by AHRA with support from Frontline AIDS.
As part of this effort, 10 peer responders were recruited from five provinces Phnom Penh, Preah Sihanouk, Poipet, Steung Treng, and Svay Rieng; drawing from strong community networks. These peers are now at the frontline, delivering critical services and restoring hope where it’s needed most.
Together, we are protecting rights, building trust, and expanding access to life-saving services.
