AHRA is pleased to circulate the following opportunity from Coact: FREE Safer Injection Train-the-Trainer (T-O-T) Course
Coact has developed a one-day training course designed for harm reduction practitioners and peer workers to strengthen knowledge and skills related to:
- The circulatory system and injection sites
- Types of needles and syringes, including low dead-space options
- Safer preparation and administration of substances
- Safe disposal practices
Mat Southwell and experienced peer trainers will deliver this two-part virtual training over two consecutive days. AM and PM session options are available.
Participants will not only learn the course content but also receive guidance on how to facilitate the training for others. Graduates will gain exclusive access to the full program materials, including the presentation and trainer’s guide. The course uses technically accurate and non-stigmatizing visuals, designed by the community and easily adaptable into other languages.
