A New Chapter for Community-Led Harm Reduction in Southeast Asia!
We are proud and excited to share that the Southeast Asia Harm Reduction Association (AHRA) has been awarded GBP 450,000 over two years by ViiV Healthcare to implement the regional programme:
“Strengthening Community-Led Harm Reduction Systems in Southeast Asia.”
This important programme will expand AHRA’s peer-led Drug Early Warning System (DEWS) across Cambodia, the Philippines, and the Myanmar–Thailand border, strengthening community-led approaches to identify emerging drug trends, share timely information, and support more responsive harm reduction services.
Through this grant, AHRA will provide sub-grants and work closely with community-led and local implementing partners across the three settings to strengthen peer leadership, community surveillance, policy engagement, and sustainable harm reduction systems.
