We’re proud to share our latest research published in PLOS ONE:

“The effect of location in mining or borderland areas on HIV incidence among people who use drugs in Myanmar (2014–2021).”

This timely study shows how where people live; especially in border or mining areas can affect their risk of getting HIV.

As Myanmar faces a deepening civil war, with over 3 million people displaced and health services in crisis, this evidence highlights why urgent, cross-border harm reduction efforts are more important than ever.
